Phase II - Regressive Count - Week Eight
10/01/07 - 10/07/07
Week Total: 26.0
I ran an 18-miler yesterday. It was cold, windy, and rainy. It was tough, hard. My knees and insteps hurt. It was slow. I was soaked. My mood was ok, much better than last week. Feelings are getting back to normal. I am getting back on my feet.
No much to write about other than counting the days not for the Marathon, but to visit and be with my daughter in Thailand. 59 days.
Alejandra, I love you.

You are a VERY strong runner! :)
LizzieLee - that was a great run! Well done - that was really life-affirming stuff. I am so sorry for the loss you and your daughter have suffered - it is hard to suffer these things when you are not together - but your husband is right - to treasure what you have. Keep up the great work. And just remember - these long runs are never easy..
Great job on your 18 miler! Gloat in the fact that you are under 1% of the country that can do that!
Sorry to hear about your daughter's friend, and the distance between the two of you certainly makes it harder. ::::hugs::::
Keep training strong--you will be so darn proud of yourself when you get that medal!!
Way to get that 18-miler done!
Every time I do something "hard" I try to find some positive in it. Minimally, that I've accumulated extra mental toughness that will somehow carry on to some other aspect of my life and make me a better person.
Hope the days until your visit to Thailand go by fast!
Wat to get out there and finish. 18 miles would be hard in normal conditions.
